A companion piece to the Creative Catalyst Symposium by Madeleine Co. and Ryerson University, mini-doc What Can Art Do for You? explores the relationship between art and social change.
What Can Art Do For You? includes interviews with 10 experts, including artists Amanda Parris (Lost Lyrics and CBC Arts) and Sean Martindale, researchers Dr. Wendy Cukier (Ryerson University), Dr. Janine Marchessault (York University), Greg Van Alstyne (OCAD University) and City Councillor Kristyn Wong-Tam. All of these individuals as well as conversations with Torontonians give varying perspectives on why art is so vital to social change.
